Jonas Fitting (*1996) grew up near Stuttgart, Germany. He studied music education for secondary schools with a focus on piano as well as choral and orchestral conducting at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts, graduating with a Master of Education with distinction. As part of his studies, he also received training in music theory and composition. His final thesis included the composition of a large-scale orchestral work. He is currently continuing his training in film scoring at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

His compositional work is strongly influenced by a fascination with the (late) Romantic tradition. He has already written orchestral works for large ensembles and choir, placing particular emphasis on fluid harmonic movement and expressive emotional depth. This approach now extends into his work for film and visual media – ranging from classical orchestral scoring and chamber settings to electronic sound compositions.
